Yulin Yao


Yulin Yao is a visual artist from China, now based in the Netherlands.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design from Hainan University (China, 2022) and a Master’s degree from the Master Institute of Visual Cultures (MIVC)|St. Joost School of Art & Design (Netherlands, 2024).

Yulin’s diverse artistic practice spans 3D art, Virtual Reality (VR), graphic design, experimental video, and installation art, with a primary focus on 3D digital art.

Her works are distinguished by their surreal, fantastical quality, often imbued with mystical Eastern influences and religious motifs. Through this unique visual language, she explores complex social issues, presenting them from different perspectives. Her aim is to provoke thought and reflection, inviting viewers to engage with contemporary societal concerns through rich metaphorical imagery.
