Yulin Yao is a visual artist, born in China and currently based in the Netherlands. She graduated from Hainan University, China, with a bachelor's degree in Landscape Design in 2022 and is currently pursuing a master's degree at St. Joost Situated Design in the Netherlands.Her creative scope encompasses a variety of mediums, including illustration, graphic design, 3D design, experimental videos, and installation art. 

Her work is heavily influenced by Eastern mysticism and elements of Eastern religions can often be found in her work. Her primary research focus involves exploring societal problems in East Asia through her personal experiences. By exploring multiple mediums, she presents complex societal topics from different perspectives, provoking deep contemplation of the contemporary world.
